Good news! He was reluctant to do any more engines but i convinced him to do mine. It’s a 221 A sleeve engine bored to 3.187 with a 4” mercury crank. Walt didn’t like adjustable lifters so he did it...

Sure sounds like a pressure relief valve problem.like 41 ford said on up to 48 is under intake manifold 49-53 is on oil pump.The valves under the manifold have a tendency to bind causing the problem...

I removed the radial tires from 3 of my cars due to hard steering.Replaced the with bias ply,the steering effort improved,but the ride and Handling has diminished somewhat.

Frank Casey in Millbury,Mass.Did a Rickenbacker engine for me years back.It took almost 2 ft of stitching to repair. Frank is an artist at cast iron crack repair.

I have both closed and open trailers. My preference is open trailer. They are lighter there by tow much easier,safer in the wind,easier to load and tie down,much better fuel mileage.The only down...

Experience with wooden bands

I have used that type ring.You must be carful installing them in the groove not to overlap either the expander ring or the spacer ring.Most have the ends of the rings painted to help eliminate this...

I have been using Haulmark trailers for more than 20 years without any problems. I would suggest buying radial tires.They seem to tow easier,and run cooler. I have never had a trailer tire wear out...
