I think it is the wrong polarity. I spoke with the fellow I bought the cut out from and he thinks he sent me one for a T not an A. He's sending another one for an A which I'll try.

I've chatted with the fellows at Strong's Garage here in Alberta. We may be able to do a trade for a later column, they may have a guy looking for an early '28 column.

The car is supposed to be a '29 however I do know it was re-pieced back together out of a number of barns and a field in a remote cattle ranch. So I'm guessing it's a combination of a coupe of years....

Gents, I greatly appreciate all your assistance and knowledge. I believe have hooked it up correctly now with one side to the output of the generator and the other to the battery.

Thanks Marshall. The issue I’m having is I can’t find a pic with the cutout that is on my generator. I have seen plenty with the cylindrical style, but not mine so I’m unsure how to wire this one.
