What Countries are those? When we have been out of the country manual shifts have been way more prevalent than Automatics. We have had several Hybrids, which ones are you talking about that have no...

Re: Favor Parts Supplier
I use Bert's almost exclusively. They only charge actual cost for shipping.
And when everyone is out of some things, you can sometimes get original parts from Steve's 500,000 parts stash.

Re: Radius Mount Weirdness and Bolts
Yes, just hack through it, then put in new bolts and rod as stated above. It looks like someone used the original style aps with a rubber ball. the rubber ball style has cast iron caps.

Re: Toe-End Gauge
The problem with that is it does not take into account a possible bent wheel.
I believe factory spec allowed up to 1/8 inch runout.
If you measure the same place on each tire, but move the car to...

Re: Toe-End Gauge
It is less than 4'. Typical arm stretch is close to 6'.
As I said, lock the tape and then read it. I've been doing it that way for years.

Re: Ahooga Horn
Poor contact can also cause lack of power, and less horn.
Check the wiring at the horn, one is power, one is ground. If you run a jumper to the ground terminal and ground it on the body or engine,...

Re: Toe-End Gauge
I'm not sure why folks even use a toe in gauge. A simple tape measure will do the same thing, even faster. Measure between the tires 6" above the floor, lock your tape, move the car till that spot is...

Thanks for posting this. One thing I learned is I will always fill a new filter as best I can when installing. That took a long time to fill.

I paint them with the rods out. Test fit when you are done. If any are tight, just cut a slit in the end of a dowel that is slightly smaller. Put a strip of sandpaper in the slit and chuck it in a...

I always remove the bumper first. It's only two bolts and then you don't have to reach over it.

Re: Fuel shut off question
I've had a new shutoff leak as well. Since it is a spring loaded cone valve, I found that if you just push on it a little when you shut it off, at least until it gets worn in, it won't leak.

The Iron Mountain plant had been running for 8 years.
They advertised it as it was the first time you could buy a station wagon that...
