I have done a couple of them on F1 trucks. The first one I used a KN filter which is pricey. The second I used a Napa paper filter which was much cheaper.

A guy in florida was planning on reproducing them but not sure if he did. He does make the rubber boots for the magic air heaters on 51-52 trucks. You might look on the ford-trucks.com site for him....

I found a set of pliers at Pep Boys auto parts. Was a stock item with knurled tips that prevent the end of the ring from slipping off.

If it holds the hood up then springs are fine. I have worked on several of these and found the lower hinge pivot that bolts to the cowl is the culprit. Take the hinge off and get penetrating oil down...

The light looks to be same as the ones used in F1 panel trucks but the dome is glass. I do see a round ring in your pic that needs to come out then the lens will fall out. It fits in a groove.

You can have that speaker reconed since it looks to be in nice shape. That is a 6x9 four ohm unit. I have bought from turnswitch and also had some reconed. I like the look of reconed better.
