Anybody parting out a 1958 Edsel, I'm looking for a front sway bar doesn't matter what model just as long as it's a 58.

Have you looked at Modern Driveline they have a lot of good info and adapters for the y-block for the 5 speed.

distributor cap

Does anybody know if somebody makes a dist. cap clamp on style with male connections hei style instead of the push in female style that would fit an OEM 65 small block ford distributor.

The 59 latches are a pretty popular swap in place of the 57-58 style, I put one on my 57 Ranchero about 10 years ago you can shut the hood with one finger instead of slamming it shut with the 57...

Make sure the lever is in the right position and then drill the hole out slightly bigger to accept a larger roll pin, just a thought.

Looks like you got it figured out, I have the same set of mounts in my 57 Ranchero with a 351W with no modifications, Cleveland must be a little different.

What if you modified the piece that bolts to the block, don't know if there is room between the block and exhaust manifold.

I used there paint to do my 57 ranchero about a 11 years ago, it laid down really nice with a high gloss and still looks like the day I painted it. I would think a gallon would be plenty by the time...

I like magnaflow I have them on my 65 mustang 289 and my 57 ranchero 351W they have a deep mellow sound and don't resonate inside the car.
