Re: What State is Model A Friendly ???

Sit tight, don't make any moving plans!

There should only be fees involved in your DMV activity. The reason being you are not purchasing or transferring the vehicle. The reason for the cost of...

Re: Where does one find an oil return pipe?

I had the cockeyed cup problem and fixied it bolting the pipe up without gaskets. I then put a propane torch on the tube near each cup and when the solder relaxed I tightened the bolts. This allowed...

Re: No start

From your description, "with the key off I have 6V at both coil terminals and both fastners at the box on the firewall. Nothing at the points.", this is as it should be. There should be six volts all...

Re: Back flushing the radiator

By disconnecting the top and bottom hoses and applying water pressure to the bottom radiator hose neck. The catch is you are fighting gravity, a baffle, etc. You can do the block at the same time...

In California I've had the DMV do it both ways. My sedan title uses the engine number, but that engine is not in the car any longer. When I got my pickup registered, it had been non-op for 30 plus...

Killer virus

Well here I am, I'm back.

All I did was search for shock info and I wound up at the H.A.M.B. Jalopy Journal. Got an alert about suspicious code and ignored it, twice. Got a Java script warning...

Re: Fordbarn Barn Finds...

My 31 pickup sat in my backyard for thirty years. Fired it up, drove it out, got it registered and turned it into a Woody. My bad!

Whoa, you're finding to many things to guess at. Stop, put the Meineke muffler back on and see if this corrects your problem. If it does then leave it or put the glass pack on and rejet the carb....

Re: not enough backpressure?

I'm with Mike on this one. You have altered the flow properties. An increase in exaust flow will require an increase in intake flow. Run it and read the plugs. I have a glass pack and headers on mine...

Re: Mac's survey

I ordered differential parts from Mac's, bearings, seals, seal tool, gaskets and shims. The seal tool was out of stock and they contacted me whereupon I cancelled that part. At the same time I...
