I smile when I read this Thread. It takes me back to the 60's when old fords were cheap and I had many. Our solution to getting the trans out through the top was to cut 2-3 inch x 8-9 inches long...

Looking for a half dozen or so of fittings in photos. Used I believe for spacer in interior firewall applications,ie. heaters and such

going to install a metal heater hose adaptor/fitting into the front lower radiator hose. other than making a nice tight hole does one use any type of sealer on the flat surfaces

Small cable mounting bracket for heaters

Looking for a couple of the small steel brackets with small tab the holds the defrost cable tight to heater.

Looking for a real nice or NOS hood release cable for 1942-48 Ford. Don't mind used one if near perfect and would prefer original NOS. none of the "mac's" junk, been there and regretted it.

I put too much oil in engine. shows up over the "FULL" sign on dipstick. Not Full Line but the word FULL. maybe a quart or quart and half. Iam taking some out but just curious as to what happens...

thanks all for info. My shaft on starter may be ruined as i may have drilled too deep for the pin at end of bolt to seat properly. "obviously my first starter project". Walt -thanks for heads...

Took out starter today and front bolt holding the spring sheared off. lock washer also drilled out broken bolt and slid bendix unit off shaft. many pieces fell off once off shaft. bolt head...

Flathead thanks that looks closest so far and I may try and buy a few and see if I can adapt a standard cable.

Pete thanks for that. wish the pic was closer up so I could see the female end. I only need about a foot of cable/wire from my connection to the radio but in a pinch i may order it and return...
