Stopped by the local machine shop today and they can accomodate what I described before. I'll post pics of before and after when they finish milling the steering shaft. I need to use a late model...

I think I have come up with a fix that avoids welding. I've cut the original steering shaft to the length I need and removed the old worm gear by slicing it with a die grinder and cracking it off...

I have a 1950 Ford F1, which is now in a state of body off frame restoration. It is now powered by a Chevy 350 so it will be heavily modified. I am leaving the original straight axle intact along...

Question Model T hood repair Hinges

Has anyone attempted to repair the hinge mechanism(s) on a 1926 Roadster? The sheet metal is prone to tearing at the hinges and I am attempting to redo this but looking for advice in the meantime.
