Re: 1933 V8: Troubleshooting...suggestions welcome

How is the clutch. The 97 accelerator linkage rod should be about 3.75" long. Make sure the adjustment for the power valve is correct, there may be a "Stromberg How To". When the foot pedal is...

Re: Front Axle 1939 Ford pickup

The front spring has a square headed bolt in the center (about 3/8" tall head) that fits into a square hole in the front crossmember. This does not allow the spring pack to move left or right,...

Re: Anyone have one they can measure?

Although the shorter tube at 4-1/2" is the most popular they did come with the longer depending upon the intake manifold. The 35-36 restoration book explains the difference in the intake manifolds...

Re: Replacing, refitting and reaming new throttle shaft bushings in Strombergs

Just buy the Stromberg kit and eliminate headaches. You probably need another throttle shaft anyway. Stromberg also has the plate screws.

Re: 1947 Cluster Gear Endplay Opinion

0.010" steel shim stock cut like a washer and place between the case and the front thrust washer, cut the OD so it does not rotate. Appears the case is worn, if the case does not have flat thrust...

Re: 1941Ford 1/2 Ton Pickup front shock links-help to identify

You may consider why the old front links appear so bad. Was the front end, when raised, moving the shock past it's limits? Neither the shock or the link are made to withstand that kind of...

Re: three brush regulator

Suggest changing the operation of the two rate to be the same as the regular cutout. Just add the diode or you may be able to put the internals of a Fun Projects inside.

Re: 1941Ford 1/2 Ton Pickup front shock links-help to identify

Ford parts books call for the 3". Your correct there is much confusion over the length for 40. I don't believe your PU has a front stabilizer bar.

Re: 39 Ford deluxe can't remove cam

The pressed on gear does not have a retainer to remove. Suggest drill small holes on the gear where it attaches to the cam to release the broken cam gear.
