The cast iron [steel] drums do Not like oversize stud knerlled pressing. Broke a '39 drum here. Swedging is ok, but not the knerled studs. Newc

Re: 33 Fordoor windshield removal

Pull the pin in the crank out mechanism [little hinge] -remove complete windshield. There are corner screws in bottom section for glass removal. Hinge sections are welded to top of frame. Right?

Note: 33 cowl lights are a tiny bit longer than '34s. Some repros are '33s !! I made a cardboard go/nogo gage. What out on the judging field. hehe heh Newc

Pressed on counter weights can block the regrinding stones. Intake styles did change a bit. Is there a diamond casting mark on head or block? Newc

External locking rings are still being used. When the wheel rim is split [in the middle of the circle], those use a 'widow maker' locking ring. Right? I have 2 of those on an old farm trailer. Newc
