Re: Michelin wire wheels
Looks like the edge of the mounting surface inboard of the stud hole is indented to fit the nub on a Ford drum. I also agree they look to have been made for pre-36 Fords.

Re: Voltage regulator, generator wiring (12 volt)
I’m no expert on wiring, so I just bought a 1960 Ford regulator (three tabs) and wired it as if it was in a ‘60 Ford pickup. The ground wire from the generator is ran all the way to the mounting...

Re: 1947 Rear Axle Worn Down
You might be lucky and just need one axle and hub. Probably the outer bearing. Surely a gasket/shim set. And if you are unlucky, more bearings and maybe a housing on that side.

Re: 32 b frame for v8
Wasn’t there some early production that didn’t have chatter rod mount holes for the V8?

Re: Pate Swap Meet Flathead Speed Equipment
My product was a dash panel that he bought and then cast his own copies from. None of these flathead parts. But, maybe I should just find some of these flatty parts and cast my own from them? ...

Re: Narrow V8 Rear Axle
He has about a dozen threads spread over the Fordbarn and the HAMB asking how to solve this “problem”, but refuses to post a pic to show how bad it really is. I can’t fathom how guys have been...

Re: Narrow V8 Rear Axle
Are you aware you can’t fit old Ford wires to modern brakes without a thick adapter? The wheel has an outer mounting flange that hits the drum of a modern brake. That’s why we use the 40-48 year...

Re: 1932 Ford Three Window Body Tag
There was a thread with a “registry” of 32 3-windows body numbers. I can’t remember if it was here or on the HAMB. Had a surprising number of bodies submitted.

Re: Leaking Head Studs
Many references to guys retapping the stud holes to “clean” them when rebuilding engines. But the holes are built with a tighter tolerance than the taps used, and are as such opened up too much. A...

Re: Waterpumps with smooth pulleys

Re: rear drum studs
You mean a drum/hub assembly, not a reproduction drum, right? And, the studs you found were the same length as original, not something a parts book jockey handed to you, right?
