I also use NGK GR4 #2635. Length of threads is 3/4 in.
Length from bottom of washer to tip of electrode is 1 in.
They came with the heads I bought in 1999 from Mark Kirby (RIP).

The one on the left is distributor hold down clamp for 1949-53 flathead Ford/ Merc. V-8.

Not sure about the clamp on the right.

Recheck the clamps that hold your mufflers in place. Make sure mufflers are not touching any part of the frame when engine is running.

I think the end of the push rod is hardened to resist wear from pump action. Could that groove be part of the manufacturing process for use with more than one type of pump?
