Pitman arm out of round
How much is too out of round. I'm out of round by .036. Is it still useable or should I replace it with new arm or replace just the ball? 1930 4 door Briggs.

After cleaning and flushing (forward and back) radiator and block several times . Replacing head gasket. Re-timed numerous times. Rebuilt water pump. I bit the bullet and got a new radiator! Problem...

Well I brook down and got a new radiator. It fixed the problem. Temps are now in the 130 to 160 range. I'm going to take the radiator to a radiator shop and see if they can see what the problem might...

Update. temps continue to go up. Did a 18 mile drive today and as I drove into driveway it started to boil over. I'm thinking head gasket.

Bob, I start at 3/4 open and as it warms up i go to about 1/2 open. Any less it gets to lean and looses power.

Thanks Jim. That is what I've been doing. Its not boiling just running warmer than I would like per the temp gauge at the top of the head. I'll check the gauge for accuracy next. Great information.

Water temp problem
I have a water temp problem.Water temp is checked at the head outlet. Checked timing 2 times, GAV is at 1/2 to 3/4 open, Cleaned radiator with 3 gal of vinegar over night and back flushed radiator...

I just went thru the same thing with my Sport Coupe. I finally called Snyders and they had some. Not 1 inch log but worked for me. Very reasonable price. Not shown in catalog.
