Speciality power makes a cable driven dual unit. Have seen them on tri chevys. On the early Ford the motor unit would need to be on the right up high behind the glove box.

The upholstery panel board are easy to cut with big metal shears. Scissors will kill your hands. Its water resistant. Not water proof. Clean the cut side with a small disc sander they make good door...

You could secure the rubber with super glue. Then drill and use the screws. I use brush on super glue.
