Whats the name of Front Bumper TRIANGLE? I have seen some Model A Fords with a kind of TRIANGLE in the front bumper. I will like to know the name of this part and if it is an original 1930s accesory or a modern part. Thanks!

Re: Whats the name of Front Bumper TRIANGLE? Hmmmmm, let me guess...Bumper center clamp assembly...Bumper bar end clamp?
Are you a newby to this hobby? Pluck |
Re: Whats the name of Front Bumper TRIANGLE? I think he's talking about the triangle accessory that's suppose to hold a triangle shaped reflector on the front bumper. It sticks up off the front bumper about a foot.

Re: Whats the name of Front Bumper TRIANGLE? 31ma,
Don't let anyone intimidate you, we were all rookies at one time. Jist ask 'em, "If you so smart, how come you're NOT RICH"? Also, I "THINK" I've seen a pic somewhere of a triangular center mounted bumper guard on a MODEL A. (The Dog:cool: doesn't remember one!) Bill W. |
Re: Whats the name of Front Bumper TRIANGLE? Hello, Thanks Bill and sorry guys, english is not my language
and I am not a newbie but in here (Mexico) it is hard to say what it is original and what it is not. In an online Catalog I found the triangle, they list it as: Bumper Grille Guard in the Eddiehotrod store, here the link: http://www.eddiesrodshop.com/bumpersbraces.htm |

Is there any online webpage with a list of original and non original Ford Model A parts and accesories? For example, the carburator air filters are an original part?, I mean if the Model A fords in 1928,1929,1930, 1931 were out the Factory with the air filters? |
Re: Whats the name of Front Bumper TRIANGLE? No clue what you are referring to, but I tend to ignore cars with a bunch of extra stuff bolted to them. All of the distractions usually means they are trying to hide all of the poorly done things on the car. Rod

Re: Whats the name of Front Bumper TRIANGLE? I'm assuming you are talking about the AIRMAZE which is an aftermarket accessory that goes on the carburetor. There is a list of "Authorized" accessories in the MARC and MAFCA judging standards as well as a book of Unauthorized Accessories" most likely available though Model A Vendors.
"Authorized" accessories are generally those available through the Ford Dealer. The unauthorized accessories were available from various auto parts stores like Western Auto. There was an abundance of things available for the Model A. Some were very handy and other frivolous. |
Re: Whats the name of Front Bumper TRIANGLE? 31ma ....................
I think that you have seen the 1933-1934 Grille- Guard, which was not made for the Model "A", but, certainly, can be used on one. They are being reproduced and sold by many parts dealers. One is featured above by 31's. MIKE |
