horn...North East

I have a North East horn, it looks like a T horn, is this correct for a T?
What years and what is it worth?

Thanks, Dudley

Yes, made during the 20's, aftermarket to fit many 6v cars of the day,

Most times, if working good, and bell is without dents, original paint, value may be up to $60- $80, high side..... lots less if not working or poor condition, missing brackets, parts , etc.

Is it correct for a T, no. Can it be used on a T, yes. Value, track similar horns on ebay and see what they SELL for. I think the prices at the Portland OR swap meet ranged from 25 to about was suggested above.

I have a 1925 Dodge Brothers business sedan with its original North East horn on it. The distributor is North East as well. If you look at the cars pictured in the ad they all look like larger cars. (The DB never was a taxi - has 20,000 original miles.)

Thank you for the help, it's a nice looking horn.....I think it will sit on the shelf
a little longer.

Dudley,

That is a great idea, with a little luck you may find a car to attach the horn to!
Justification for buying another car really does not have to make sense.

Re: horn...North East

Does the horn have it's ID tag mounted to it with the model number? That would be very helpful to identify which car it would have come on. As mentioned earlier, Dodge Brothers came equipped with North East equipment, some being 12-volt and some being 6-volt.

This is what I have " north east ...xm.612b...n/e...6 volt...made in rochester n.y u.s.a."
The projector is a taper, the motor can looks like a small Model A , and it works.

Thanks again, Dudley
P.S....the info is off a tag, riveted to the can.
