1935 Ford Phaeton Fellow Threaders:
I just joined the Ford Barn and really enjoy it. I need some help. My Dad restored a 1935 Ford Phaeton in the 60's and I believe he sold it in 1979 or 1989 (Sorry, I can't remember.) Ford called it a 'dual cowl' phaeton because it had a windshield between the front and rear passenger seats. It was, I think, a color called cordoba tan with lighter color wheels (which was unusual due to the fact the car was supposed to be exported overseas to an Army Colonel's wife.) Dad sold the car to some guy in the Denver, CO area that used to own a large trucking company. Long story short is I am getting older but would sure enjoy tracking this car down and just seeing it again. Have any of you Denver folks ever seen this car or know the current owner? Thanks - Bob |
Re: 1935 Ford Phaeton There's a '35 phaeton over in Windsor, California that fits that description. The owner visits this forum.

Re: 1935 Ford Phaeton Hi; There was a large private collection in the Denver area as some of the Western Nationals toured it. Today I can't say. Newc

Re: 1935 Ford Phaeton Thanks for your responses. The car meant a lot to me growing up. I'm not getting any younger and I'd like to see the car before I go to the 'big Ford garage' in the sky! :0)

That second windshield is an add-on, not factory, but super cool upgrade for the backseat crowd. I know from experience the back of a Phaeton (I have a 36) can be a whole different deal than the front. |
