What color is this blue on the MAFCA "A of the Day" Standard Phaeton? 1 Attachment(s)
Do you think this is Lombard or Andulusite Blue on this 1930/31 Standard Phaeton seen on MAFCA's "A of the Day"? I really like it-especially with the black wheels and tires. Understated elegance.
Thanks. |
Re: What color is this blue on the MAFCA "A of the Day" Standard Phaeton? Is it Washington Blue?

Re: What color is this blue on the MAFCA "A of the Day" Standard Phaeton? Beautiful car. I don't see a pinstripe and center bumper clamp.
Strange that so many restored cars are missing the center bumper clamp. Where do you live? Jim Brand is the man you want to pinstripe your car. |
Re: What color is this blue on the MAFCA "A of the Day" Standard Phaeton? I'd say off hand Lombard Blue.
Washington Blue is a little lighter hue. I like the car too, looks great with black rims and blackwall tires. I prefer that look over w/walls and painted rims for sure. |
Re: What color is this blue on the MAFCA "A of the Day" Standard Phaeton? Looks like andalucite blue to me. But I don't know ho to spell andalucite.

Re: What color is this blue on the MAFCA "A of the Day" Standard Phaeton? Lombard, -not Andalusite.

Re: What color is this blue on the MAFCA "A of the Day" Standard Phaeton? I have a Tudor that is Lombard Blue and that Phaeton is Lombard Blue.

Re: What color is this blue on the MAFCA "A of the Day" Standard Phaeton? My vote is Lombard.
Andalusite and Washington have some purple in them, at least they do to me. It can be a hard vote between Washington and Lombard considering the light conditions. To be a show winner apparently as that one is, it should be of a correct color. In 1930 I believe Andalusite was not available and in 1931 only Lombard was available on STD models. Of course, as usual, I could be wrong. |
