1953 Ford 4 door rear vent window weatherstrip

Does anybody know where I can find the rear vent window rubber seals for my 1953 Ford 4 door Customline. I have searched all the websites and called the vendors that I am familiar with including Dennis Carpenter, Macs, Shoebox Central, Steele Products, Classic Parts, Ebay etc.. The seals are available for the 1949-1951 Model year Fords but these won't fit. Is there possibly another Make Model Year of car/truck that is a close fit?

Thanks for the lead. Looks like they only have the fronts not the rears. I am looking for part numbers BA-7326894-A and BA-7326895-A

Ok. Talked with Brian at Concours. They don't have them and last had them in 2007. He referred me to Metro MP who supplied them to Concours. Metro does not have them and quit making them do to worn out tooling and I suspect low demand. Sophia at Metro is not giving up though and I am going to send the specs, pictures, and measurements from my existing ones to her so they can possibly find a close fit? I will respond back when I get some conclusion. Thanks to you TJ and Pete....

Scottyboy; I wish you luck on locating the rear vent seals; I did that dance for a couple of months with little success. Phone conversations with the DC people in the "rubber room" did not even work. There data said they would fit and said the problem was it was a CDN Meteor. I have heard that convenient story a lot doing this project! I sent them back as well as sending diagrams, pictures and measurements. I did not try other suppliers. I ended up using the closest thing they could send and modifying them. Razor blade and crazy glue were the renovating tools. I was never able to get them to quit leaking when washing the car; that said I could never get the front ones to seal properly either. I have only opened them once or twice and will probably end up sealing the rear vent windows right off. Please let us know if you are able to find a supplier! If not I can try and locate the part numbers of the ones I used.

I'll join the group hoping you find something that works. The seals in my 53 are original and hard as a rock. I assumed I would have to get a couple sets of vent window seals, a razor blade, super glue, and "assemble" a set. Please report back what you end up doing.

I think I have great news. On a long shot. I bought the 1949-1951 Mercury 4 door rear vent WR-3311-R seals from Shoebox Central. They are Metro MP made seals. They delivered Saturday. I haven't put them in the frame yet but they match up perfectly to my old seals. Length 27", the hinge pin and latch placement is exact. They are straight seals with a slit where the seal bends.

Finished the re-assembly and the Metro Rubber Products WR-3311-R seal fit perfectly. Who would have guessed? Picture of window with seal attached.

What's more fun than stealin bags of silver rings? Pressing rubber seals back into the vent window frames.

Thank you for the report and picture. Guess I need to order a pair of seals.
